Financial Controller – Real Estate Projects

About the role

Our client, a leading real‑estate organization, is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the financial management of residential projects in Gurgaon. The role combines project finance oversight with compliance to RERA and IND AS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts and financial plans; monitor expenditures to avoid overruns.
• Prepare and present profit & loss, cash flow and variance analysis reports for senior management.
• Ensure RERA compliance, including accurate financial disclosures, escrow fund management and proper accounting of customer advances.
• Maintain IND AS compliance for revenue recognition, project costing and financial statements; coordinate with auditors.
• Implement cost‑control measures, identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Act as primary financial liaison with project managers, contractors and external consultants, providing regular updates and risk insights.
• Optimize financial systems and processes to improve reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in finance project control, preferably in residential real‑estate.
• Strong knowledge of RERA regulations and IND AS accounting standards.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts and financial reporting for large projects.
• Strategic mindset with excellent risk‑management capabilities.
