Financial Controller – Principal Officer

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead fund operations, reporting, audit and compliance for an alternative investment fund based in Gift City, Gandhinagar. Reporting to senior management, the role supports fundraising, budgeting, strategic planning and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage drawdowns, distributions, NAV/IRR reviews and respond to investor queries.
• Lead valuation exercises and coordinate statutory, internal and tax audits.
• Prepare budgeting, quarterly/monthly MIS, and maintain a five‑year financial model.
• Ensure timely regulatory and tax compliance for AIFs, including SEBI filings, INVI reports and income‑tax returns.
• Support fundraising activities, feeder‑fund set‑up, scenario analysis and deal structuring.
• Drive process improvements across invoice processing, accounting systems and overall operations.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• 7‑8 years of experience in fund finance, audit and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of fund operations, NAV calculations and IRR analysis.
• Experience handling SEBI regulations, tax filings and audit coordination.
