Financial Controller – Listed Company (Mumbai)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a publicly listed company in Mumbai. The role requires end‑to‑end ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and stakeholder communication, ensuring all statutory and regulatory obligations are met on time.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quarterly and annual results in line with SEBI listing requirements.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing, MIS reporting, and budget‑vs‑actual analysis.
• Lead the accounting team, drive process improvements, and maintain robust internal controls.
• Coordinate statutory, internal, and external audits, ensuring zero compliance lapses.
• Present financial performance to senior management and the board.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in a listed entity.
• CA, CPA, or CMA qualification.
• Proven track record handling SEBI regulations, quarterly filings, and investor disclosures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Companies Act, SEBI LODR, Ind AS/IFRS.
• Experience with statutory and internal audits.
• Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or Tally accounting systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
