Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead financial control, governance, and reporting functions. The role will provide senior management with accurate financial information and business‑focused insights to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong financial controls, policies, procedures, and approval mechanisms.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow statements, reconciliations, and management accounts.
• Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, inventory, and working capital.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, accounting standards, and other regulations.
• Coordinate with statutory, internal, tax, and external auditors and close audit observations promptly.
• Identify financial risks, control weaknesses, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Supervise the finance and accounting team, driving productivity, standardisation, and automation.
• Provide financial analysis and insights for investment, cost optimisation, pricing, and risk assessment.
• Oversee ERP and financial reporting systems to ensure data accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related field.
• 2–4 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a controller or senior finance management role.
• Professional certification such as CA, CMA or CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, taxation, internal controls and audit processes.
• Ability to work closely with senior management and challenge financial processes when needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
