Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the group’s financial records and statutory compliance across defence electronics, unmanned systems and infrastructure verticals. Reporting to the CFO, this role provides a reliable financial foundation for strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process across all group entities and prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with Ind AS.
• Manage direct and indirect tax compliance, including advance tax, TDS, GST returns and sector‑specific customs considerations for defence manufacturing.
• Lead statutory and internal audit processes, design internal financial controls and maintain SOPs for a listed entity.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, fixed‑asset registers, inventory valuation and ensure ERP data integrity.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and banking facilities, supporting long‑gestation defence contracts.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (mandatory) with 12–15+ years of progressive finance experience.
• 3–5 years in a Controller or similar leadership role, preferably in manufacturing or capital‑intensive sectors.
• Proven experience managing multi‑entity, multi‑location accounting and consolidation.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of Ind AS.
• Direct and indirect tax compliance expertise.
• Statutory audit and internal control implementation.
• Hands‑on experience with accounting ERP systems.
