Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the Controllership function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and compliance across multiple legal entities including REITs, private funds, and service entities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement Controllership strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Establish and monitor SLAs for all sub‑processes, managing outsourcing providers.
• Own end‑to‑end maintenance of financial books for all entities, ensuring compliance with IND‑AS/IGAAP.
• Maintain the Chart of Accounts and master data in SAP, overseeing posting of all financial transactions.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and ensure accurate balances across entities.
• Drive timely month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close, supporting regulatory reporting.
• Enforce fixed‑asset accounting framework, CWIP/AUC integrity, and capitalization policies.
• Resolve escalated queries, oversee journal postings, and ensure GL accuracy.
• Review and approve financial statements, lead internal and external audits, and implement corrective actions.
• Support acquisition/divestment due diligence and provide tax data for assessments.
• Oversee direct & indirect tax accounting, including GST, TDS, ITR, MAT/AMT compliance.
• Lead SEZ governance, handling BLUT setup, renewals, and filings.

Required profile

• 10+ years of accounting experience with a proven Controllership role.
• Strong knowledge of IND‑AS and IGAAP standards.
• Experience managing financial books for REITs, private funds, and service entities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead outsourcing partners and enforce robust governance.
• Excellent audit readiness and internal control expertise.
