Financial Controller

About the role

You will be the financial backbone of a fast‑growing network that splits every farmer's payment between the service station and the supporting platform. The role combines full‑cycle accounting, escrow management, and strategic cash‑flow advisory for the founder.

Key responsibilities

• Own the books, statutory compliance and tax treatment across the entire network.
• Run franchise escrow with strict discipline, ensuring held funds remain secure.
• Manage the end‑to‑end settlement process and perform the reconciliation that validates it.
• Investigate and resolve any variance between platform evening numbers and bank statements.
• Write and maintain a comprehensive company financial handbook.
• Coordinate with the audit firm and external accountants, keeping all files inspection‑ready.
• Advise the Founder on cash timing throughout each rollout stage.

Required profile

• Eight or more years of finance experience with controller‑level ownership.
• Chartered Accountant qualification strongly preferred.
• Multi‑entity, franchise or marketplace accounting experience.
• Fluent with Indian tax compliance and statutory filing.
• Rigorous about controls, segregation of duties and audit trails.
• Ability to design controls from first principles rather than inherit them.
