Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead all finance‑related activities at the Port, ensuring accurate budgeting, reporting, and compliance. You will partner with business teams to drive financial performance and support strategic investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, finalize and obtain approval for annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets, and conduct periodic reviews.
• Monitor monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance, analyse variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Support CAPEX investment decisions through detailed financial analysis.
• Produce timely Management Information System (MIS) reports and lead stakeholder review sessions.
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and statutory compliance.
• Analyse expenses and receivables, proposing measures to improve efficiency and cash flow.
• Manage cash‑flow planning and short‑term investment decisions.
• Implement internal audit recommendations and strengthen internal controls.
• Lead statutory audits, close audit observations and ensure compliance with Service Tax, EPCG obligations and other regulations.
• Drive team performance through communication, coaching and development.
• Stay updated on finance and technology trends and apply best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Proven experience managing finance operations in a large, complex organization.
• Strong expertise in financial statement preparation, balance‑sheet finalisation and statutory audits.
• Experience handling audits, compliance and financial controls in a structured environment.
