Financial Controller

About the role

PEP, a fast‑growing personal care company behind the mCaffeine and Hyphen brands, is looking for a Financial Controller to oversee day‑to‑day finance, accounting and compliance functions. The role demands a Chartered Accountant with solid experience in financial reporting, audit coordination, direct tax and GST compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and month‑end/quarter‑end closures.
• Prepare accurate financial statements in line with Ind AS / AS standards.
• Maintain financial controls, accounting policies and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor expenses, working capital and cash flow.
• Coordinate statutory, internal and tax audits; act as primary liaison with auditors.
• Handle direct tax compliance – computation, advance tax, TDS and return filing.
• Manage GST compliance – preparation of GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, annual returns and audit support.
• Ensure Companies Act and ROC filing requirements are met.
• Prepare MIS reports and basic financial analysis for management.
• Work with ERP/ accounting systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and support process improvements.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification – mandatory.
• 3–4 years of post‑qualification experience in finance, accounting, audit, direct tax and GST.
• Experience in D2C/e‑commerce/FMCG/beauty sector is a plus.
