Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead our finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls, and strategic insight for a fast‑growing startup environment. The role will partner closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance and support business expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial controllership, accounting operations, MIS, and monthly/annual financial closures.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements while strengthening internal controls.
• Drive budgeting, cash‑flow planning, and working‑capital management to fuel growth.
• Partner with leadership on financial reporting, performance tracking, and strategic decision‑making.
• Lead process improvements, automation initiatives, and finance SOPs to build scalable systems.

Required profile

• CA qualification with at least 6 years of experience in finance and controllership roles.
• Prior experience in a startup, preferably within D2C, retail, or quick‑commerce sectors.
• Strong expertise in accounting, audits, taxation, financial reporting, and compliance management.
• Hands‑on experience with MIS, forecasting, financial planning, and ERP/finance systems.
• Detail‑oriented, commercially aware, and comfortable in high‑growth, fast‑paced environments.
