Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller – Kenya role at Flora Food Group is responsible for leading the financial control environment for the Kenya business, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and governance while partnering with regional and global finance, tax, treasury and supply‑chain teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close and balance‑sheet management for the Kenya entity.
• Ensure accurate statutory reporting, VAT and corporate tax compliance.
• Provide cash‑flow forecasting and visibility to regional and global finance teams.
• Coordinate external audits and maintain audit readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial control processes and governance.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in financial controlling within an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of Record‑to‑Report (R2R), IFRS, VAT, corporate tax and statutory reporting.
• Proven ability to communicate complex financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented with a proactive ownership mindset.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA; Big 4 audit experience is a plus.
