Financial Controller – Ibis Hotels (Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane)

About the role

The Financial Controller will oversee accounting, financial reporting and materials management for three Ibis hotels in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane, ensuring compliance with Accor standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement accounting policies and procedures, interpret financial results and provide tools for future planning.
• Maintain complete and supported accounting records for all hotels.
• Apply local accounting procedures to meet government regulations.
• Prepare and interpret financial statements and reports.
• Audit accounts, records and transactions while strengthening internal controls.
• Safeguard assets through controls over fixed assets, equipment, supplies and inventories.
• Coordinate materials and resource allocation using multi‑skilling and multi‑tasking principles.
• Optimize purchasing to minimize expenses and secure competitive pricing.
• Ensure operating standards in purchasing, receiving, storing and issuing.
• Assist the General Manager and department heads in budgeting, forecasting and budget control.
• Support credit and collection administration.
• Manage tax obligations with auditors or tax experts.
• Obtain required government licences and approvals for hotel operations.
• Review and control purchasing, receiving, storing and requisitioning functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controlling within hospitality or a multi‑property environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, local tax and statutory requirements in India.
• Ability to interpret financial results and provide strategic insights.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Familiarity with materials and inventory management.
• Analytical and audit expertise.
• Capability to work with senior management and cross‑functional teams.
