Financial Controller – Finance Leader for AI Startup

About the role

TrueFoundry is building the core finance function for its AI infrastructure platform. As the Finance Controller you will partner with the Director of Finance and the founding team to design and operate financial processes, controls, and systems that support rapid growth through Series B and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end monthly close for both India and US entities, ensuring zero surprises.
• Lead ERP selection and implementation (e.g., NetSuite, Zoho Books) and integrate billing, payroll, and expense tools.
• Manage statutory compliance in India (GST, TDS, ROC) and the US (federal/state tax, Delaware franchise tax, R&D credits).
• Prepare audit‑ready financial statements and serve as primary contact for statutory auditors.
• Oversee treasury, cash management, FX, and inter‑company settlements, providing runway visibility to leadership.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification, preferably with Big 4 audit experience.
• 8‑10 years of finance experience, including at least 4 years in a fast‑growing technology startup.
• Proven track record building finance processes, internal controls, and systems from scratch.
• Hands‑on experience leading an ERP rollout (NetSuite, Zoho Books, or equivalent).

• Audit frameworks: SOC 2, ISO 27001
• BI tools and advanced financial modelling
