Financial Controller – Dahej Port

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead all finance activities at Dahej Port, ensuring accurate budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and compliance with statutory regulations. This senior position partners with business teams to drive financial performance and optimize working capital.

Key responsibilities

• Drive preparation, finalisation and approval of annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets, and conduct periodic reviews.
• Monitor and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Partner with business teams to evaluate CAPEX investment decisions through detailed financial analysis.
• Prepare and present Management Information System (MIS) reports and facilitate stakeholder review discussions.
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Analyse expenses and receivables, proposing measures to improve efficiency and cash flow.
• Manage cash‑flow planning and short‑term investment decisions.
• Ensure adherence to internal audit recommendations and strengthen internal controls.
• Lead statutory audits, close audit observations and ensure compliance with Service Tax, EPCG obligations and other regulations.
• Drive team performance through communication, coaching and development initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in a large, complex organisation.
• Proven experience managing finance operations, including budgeting, financial statement preparation, balance‑sheet finalisation and statutory audits.
• Strong background in audit, compliance and financial controls within a structured environment.
