Financial Accountant

About the role

Responsible for providing professional level accounting tasks associated with all financial accounting matters for DBM Vircon companies.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of trial balance, company ledgers, journals, including reversing journals and lease accounting compliance.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and handle foreign currency transaction revaluations.
• Recharge intercompany transactions and reconcile them.
• Execute treasury functions such as payment runs, cash flow preparation, bank entry processing and bank reconciliations.
• Coordinate and process tax, superannuation, GST and other statutory payments.
• Comply with internal and external audit requirements.

Required profile

• Understanding of GAAP, IFRS or IGAAP standards.
• High level of financial accounting and analytical skills.
• Pro‑active, goal‑oriented with excellent attention to detail and strong communication abilities.
• Excellent customer focus to meet DBM Vircon and client needs.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar financial accounting role.
• Experience in a global company is an added advantage.
