Finance Controls & Governance Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance professional to join our team as Manager – Finance Controls & Governance. This role is responsible for strengthening the Finance control environment by ensuring adherence to internal policies, monitoring financial and system controls, overseeing critical reconciliations, and driving governance across finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Finance SOPs, monitor processes, conduct control reviews, and drive standardisation and automation initiatives.
• Oversee critical reconciliations (bank, GL, settlement, suspense), monitor ageing, resolve exceptions, and publish periodic dashboards.
• Monitor SAP financial controls, master‑data governance, user access, Segregation of Duties and maker‑checker controls, and participate in UAT for ERP enhancements.
• Perform periodic control testing, support internal, statutory and regulatory audits, track and close audit observations, and escalate significant risks.
• Prepare Finance Control MIS, coordinate with Treasury, Operations, Compliance and Technology teams, and support finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) or MBA (Finance) qualification.
• 5–10 years of experience in finance controls, internal controls, finance operations, audit and ERP governance, preferably in Financial Services, FinTech, Broking, NBFC or Banking.
• Proven ability to achieve 100% SOP adherence, complete reconciliations timely, close audit observations, maintain SAP access governance and drive automation.

Required skills

• SAP financial modules and configuration management.
• ERP governance including user access, Segregation of Duties (SoD) and maker‑checker controls.
• UAT participation for system enhancements.
• MIS reporting and dashboard creation.
