Finance Controlling Specialist

About the role

Join the Finance Service Line & Controlling process at DHL Global Forwarding's Global Service Centre in Mumbai. You will manage controlling activities, produce financial reports, run analyses and support process improvements across cost, revenue and profitability domains.

Key responsibilities

• Execute controlling activities, run analysis and create regular financial reports.
• Manage cost and revenue controlling, including ledger accruals, WIP and suspense accounts.
• Perform financial report analysis (NWC, cash flow, P&L, balance sheet, DSO/DPO, etc.).
• Prepare gross profit distribution, monthly & quarterly management review decks and volume statistics.
• Conduct in‑depth P&L, balance‑sheet and key‑ratio analysis and profitability steering.
• Produce daily volume, weight and revenue reports by customer and station, track unbilled shipments and support revenue forecasting.
• Create dashboards showing month‑over‑month and year‑over‑year changes.
• Maintain process documentation and deliver ad‑hoc controlling reports and dashboards.

Required profile

• Graduate in finance or accounting; postgraduate or professional finance certification preferred.
• 2‑5 years of finance experience, preferably within DHL.
• Familiarity with DHL finance controlling systems (CREST, FORWIN, CW1, S21, FRP).
• Experience working in on‑shore/off‑shore environments.
• Strong command of advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, dashboards, data models).
