Finance Controller – Mumbai (Goregaon)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to join a reputable company in Mumbai (Goregaon). You will lead the finance function, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive financial strategies that support growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations and lead the finance team, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Stay current with relevant rules, regulations, and financial standards to maintain compliance.
• Prepare and file required reports and documents for regulatory authorities.
• Maintain strong understanding of company laws and governance practices.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on financial regulatory matters.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with growth objectives and long‑term sustainability.
• Monitor financial performance, identify improvement areas, and optimize processes.
• Analyze profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and other reports to assess financial health.
• Identify trends, variances, and opportunities to enhance profitability and cost efficiency.
• Present financial information to senior management, board members, and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field (Master’s/CA a plus).
• Minimum 8 + years of financial management experience, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and company law.
• Excellent written and oral communication, with strong presentation abilities.
• Strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and proven leadership and team‑management skills.
