Finance Controller

About the role

Desible.ai, a VC‑backed SaaS platform serving Indian BFSI companies, is building an investor‑grade finance function. The Finance Controller will own the entire financial foundation, reporting directly to the founders and establishing processes for future growth.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close including GL reconciliation, balance‑sheet tie‑out and P&L variance analysis.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, payment approvals and vendor reconciliations.
• Perform daily/weekly bank reconciliations, cash‑flow forecasting and maintain a 16‑week rolling cash position.
• Ensure GST compliance with monthly GSTR filing, invoice reconciliation and input‑credit tracking.
• Handle India statutory compliance such as TDS, advance tax, PF, ESI and payroll coordination.
• Prepare investor and MIS reports covering financial statements, burn analysis and SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, NRR).
• Maintain and improve Tally ERP configuration, chart of accounts and approval matrices.
• Coordinate with external CA and auditors for annual audit and compliance readiness.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a SaaS startup or high‑growth company.
• Hands‑on ownership of month‑end close, GL reconciliation and P&L variance analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with India GST filing, TDS, PF, ESI and other statutory compliance.
• Proven ability to build financial processes and controls from scratch.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
