Finance Controller

About the role

Scrubsy, India’s leading foam‑based household cleaner, is seeking a Finance Controller to own the end‑to‑end finance and accounts function. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will ensure accurate MIS, robust statutory and tax compliance, and provide strategic financial insight to support rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual MIS preparation and deliver reports to management on time.
• Oversee full‑cycle book closure, accounts finalisation, and preparation of statutory financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Act as the primary liaison with statutory auditors, internal auditors, banks and regulatory authorities.
• Drive end‑to‑end statutory and tax compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and ensure zero compliance gaps.
• Partner with senior leadership on financial decision‑making, providing analysis on pricing, cost drivers, profitability and business performance.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis against annual budgets and support business planning.
• Oversee banking, treasury, cash‑flow management and working‑capital optimisation.
• Design and implement internal financial controls and related SOPs.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification – mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably as a Finance Controller or senior finance leader.
• Proven track record of statutory and tax compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
• Experience liaising with auditors, banks and regulatory bodies.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver MIS and close books on schedule.
