Finance Controller – India

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead the financial management of the Agri‑business vertical across India. Reporting to senior leadership, you will head a team of finance professionals and act as the primary finance business partner for regional commercial and operational teams, driving insight‑based decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, analyse variances and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with local and international accounting standards.
• Provide timely financial analysis to support commercial and operational decisions and manage regional consolidation reporting.
• Direct cash‑flow management, working‑capital optimisation and treasury activities, including banking relationships and currency risk mitigation.
• Ensure robust financial controls, coordinate internal and external audits, and monitor compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a high‑performance culture and succession planning.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 17 years of finance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of finance business partnering across procurement, processing, warehousing, sales and distribution functions.
• Experience in agriculture commodity trading and processing is preferred.
