Finance Controller (Dahej Port)

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead financial planning, analysis and reporting for operations at Dahej Port. You will partner with business teams to drive budgetary discipline, monitor performance and ensure statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation, finalisation, approval and periodic review of annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
• Monitor and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and profit performance, identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Support business units in evaluating CAPEX decisions.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports and coordinate business reviews.
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements.
• Analyse expenses and receivables, proposing corrective measures where needed.
• Manage cash flow and short‑term investment decisions.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit observations and strengthen internal controls.
• Lead statutory audit completion, address audit observations and maintain statutory compliances such as Service Tax and EPCG redemption.
• Motivate the finance team through communication and coaching.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in finance and accounting within a large organisation.
• Proven experience in preparing balance sheets and handling statutory audits.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting and cash‑flow management.
