Field Coordinator, Technical Assistance (Water Treatment Program)

About the role

Evidence Action's technical partner in India, EAII Advisors, supports state governments in delivering evidence-based public health programs, including safe drinking water initiatives. The Field Coordinator (FC) reports to the Manager/Zonal Coordinator and works with the state team to support the India Safe Water program at sub-district level. The FC leads government advocacy, trains stakeholders, coordinates with government officials and oversees the installation, operation and coordination of water treatment sites. The workplace is on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Advocacy: train sub-district/block/mandal officials, help establish water quality policies, represent EAII with contractors and lead training for officials, vendors and communities
• Stakeholder engagement: coordinate vendors, community leaders and members, hold suppliers and contractors accountable, and support other program staff
• Project implementation: provide technical and advisory support to the District Coordinator or Manager, travel about 15 working days a month, and facilitate access to water treatment sites
• Monitoring and reporting: collect program monitoring data, fill out survey forms, request administrative data and prepare daily and weekly reports
• Daily field duties: check doses, inspect dosing equipment, run community meetings and awareness sessions, visit households, train pump operators, and coordinate maintenance and repairs
