Faculty Position in Child Development and Learning (MA Education)

About the role

Azim Premji University is seeking full‑time faculty members to join its MA in Education programme, focusing on Child Development and Learning (CDL). The role offers an opportunity to contribute to interdisciplinary curriculum design, teaching, and research within a newly established campus.

Key responsibilities

• Teach postgraduate courses in CDL, integrating psychological, sociological, anthropological, and neuroscientific perspectives.
• Cover theories of cognitive development, learning processes, and adolescent identity, gender, and motivation.
• Mentor and support students through classroom instruction, critical discussions, and field practice preparation.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the MA Education programme to enhance student learning.
• Participate in institutional duties and contribute to the development of key academic processes.
• Engage in scholarly research and publishing to advance personal academic growth and the field.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Human Development, Childhood Studies, Developmental Psychology, or Education.
• Demonstrated interest and experience in child development, either academic or field‑based.
• Commitment to interdisciplinary teaching and research.
