Factory/Plant Controller - Controlling Practice & Operations

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a motivated Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join its Finance team. In this position you will transform financial data into actionable insights, support decision‑making and help drive business performance across the factory/plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business performance against budgets, forecasts and prior periods, highlighting drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with local controllers and business stakeholders to provide insights for strategic and operational decisions.
• Perform financial modeling, what‑if analyses and sensitivity assessments for various business scenarios.
• Monitor overhead absorption, product and customer profitability, and investigate performance variances.
• Track CAPEX spending, inventory, working capital, cash flow and other key financial metrics.
• Support month‑end closing, conduct P&L and balance‑sheet reviews, and ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare and present management reports, MIS dashboards and benchmarking analyses with clear commentary.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and other financial planning processes.
