Factory Material Requirement Planner (Executive - MRP)

About the role

The Factory Material Requirement Planner ensures that all raw and packaging materials are available to meet production plans while staying within agreed stock cover targets. The role balances short‑term replenishment with long‑term supply strategies to protect production continuity and optimise working capital.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain an optimized short‑term replenishment plan for raw and packaging materials, preventing any production loss due to material shortages.
• Develop an 18‑month horizon plan for raw and packaging materials that meets supply needs, working‑capital targets, and reduces waste through minimised write‑offs.
• Monitor supply signals via MRP purchase requisitions, verify delivery dates, lead times and quantities, and generate purchase orders for supplier fulfilment.
• Manage supplier interactions for material delivery, including order creation, confirmation, receipt, discrepancy investigation, and claims handling.
• Define stock policies and management approaches for each SKU in the portfolio.
• Identify and resolve practical issues affecting material supply and demand for both raw and packaging materials.
• Maintain excellent supplier relationships and involve suppliers in supply‑chain improvement initiatives that create shared value.
