Facilities Maintenance Engineer – Electrical & Plumbing

About the role

This position is responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of building systems, ensuring that electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC equipment remain functional, safe and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and supervise, train, and evaluate assigned personnel.
• Prepare cost estimates for building repair and maintenance projects and assess repair needs.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, replace lighting components, and service generators, switches, circuit breakers, HVAC, irrigation, plumbing, pneumatic and alarm systems.
• Maintain heating, cooling, motor, pump and boiler systems; perform plumbing repairs and back‑flow prevention device installation.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules, budgets and inventory records.
• Coordinate with external contractors for structural, mechanical and electrical work.
• Implement safety procedures and accident‑prevention measures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities or building‑services maintenance.
• Ability to supervise and train maintenance staff.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and capacity to respond to urgent situations.
• Good organizational skills for budgeting, inventory control and reporting.

Required skills

• Electrical systems maintenance (lights, ballasts, generators, circuit breakers).
• HVAC (heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning) maintenance.
• Plumbing maintenance, including back‑flow prevention and drain troubleshooting.
• Motor and pump repair.
• Preventive maintenance planning.
• Blueprint and schematic reading.
• Safety procedures and accident‑prevention protocols.
