Fabrication & Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor leads daily operations in Flowserve’s fabrication shop and final packaging area. This position ensures safe, efficient, high‑quality production that meets customer delivery commitments while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise fabrication shop and final packaging activities to achieve production, quality, safety, and on‑time delivery targets.
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule work across multiple work centers based on workload, capacity, material availability, and delivery commitments.
• Assign daily tasks to employees according to skill level, certifications, and production priorities.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date shop‑floor skill matrix, identify training needs, and coordinate employee development.
• Enforce Flowserve safety policies, conduct regular safety discussions, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, including documentation, traceability, inspection, and record‑retention.
• Monitor operational KPIs such as utilization, efficiency, productivity, scrap, rework, quality performance, and schedule adherence.
• Analyze production losses and quality issues, applying structured problem‑solving tools to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives (AMEF/FMEA, Value Stream Mapping, 5S/6S, SMED, standard work, visual management).
• Apply statistical process‑control principles to monitor process performance and improve product quality.
• Support inventory management, material availability, WIP control, and coordination with planning and supply‑chain teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising shop‑floor personnel in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead Lean and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and a track record of promoting a safety‑first culture.
• Experience managing production schedules, capacity planning, and KPI monitoring.
