Executive – Warehousing & Transportation (Analytics & Cost Optimization)

About the role

The Executive – Warehousing & Transportation will lead day‑to‑day warehouse and transport operations, ensuring goods move efficiently, on time, and at optimal cost. The role blends analytics, cost control, and operational oversight to drive performance across the logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse transportation costs, freight spend and logistics performance to uncover cost‑saving opportunities.
• Drive cost‑control initiatives through route optimisation, vehicle utilisation, carrier performance analysis and process improvements while maintaining service levels.
• Monitor key transportation KPIs, prepare MIS reports, dashboards and analytical insights for data‑driven decisions.
• Plan and deploy vehicles according to dispatch and delivery requirements, ensuring optimal resource utilisation.
• Track shipments, provide status updates to stakeholders and coordinate loading/unloading with warehouse teams.
• Resolve transportation and delivery issues, including customer complaints, delays, freight variances, damages and shortages.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations and statutory requirements.
• Maintain safe storage, material handling and housekeeping standards within the warehouse.

Required profile

• MBA or postgraduate degree.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in warehousing, transportation or logistics analytics.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimisation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, transport partners and warehouse staff.
