Executive – Statutory Audit (Hyderabad)

About the role

EY is seeking an Executive in Statutory Audit to join its Assurance practice in Hyderabad. The role involves conducting operational, financial, process and systems audits for a variety of clients, ensuring compliance with accounting and auditing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify accounting and auditing issues and collaborate with audit in‑charge to resolve them.
• Perform substantive testing according to the audit plan and document all work performed.
• Recommend improvements to control systems and procedures.
• Prepare and present audit reports that highlight key recommendations for management.
• Maintain statutory books of accounts, reconcile receivables and payables, and finalize accounts.
• Assist senior staff in reviewing financial statements and preparing audit, management comment, and representation letters.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 0‑3 years of experience.
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
