About the role
The role is responsible for overseeing gate security, manpower management, liaison with authorities, fire safety and contractor coordination to ensure safe and compliant plant operations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage gate security according to the manual to protect plant property and employees.
- Oversee the security service provider to ensure adequate staffing without shortages.
- Liaise with local government officials, police, and fire & rescue services through regular meetings.
- Create and process agreements, purchase orders and bills in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit operational reports as required.
- Conduct regular health checks, inspections and audits of fire‑fighting systems and equipment.
- Manage contractors for fire protection equipment, including AMC reporting and issue resolution.
- Organise emergency drills and deliver fire‑fighting training.
- Supervise material gate operations, vehicle movements of raw material, finished goods and packaging, ensuring compliance.
- Record and track returnable and non‑returnable gate passes.
