Executive – Industrial Relations & Administration

About the role

This position leads the organization’s industrial relations and administrative functions, ensuring that labor negotiations, policy analysis, and employee relations are handled strategically and compliantly. The executive will act as a key advisor to managers and senior leadership on HR matters.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze data and information to assess cost and policy implications of negotiations, disputes, pay scales, benefits, and working conditions.
• Conduct research using surveys, interviews, and studies to evaluate HR policies and compensation structures, then recommend changes.
• Interpret and explain employment laws and legal issues to managers, supervisors, and employees.
• Advise and train managers on best practices for employee relations and grievance handling, developing additional training as needed.
• Represent the organization in contract negotiations and meetings with labor unions and employee groups.
• Collaborate with leadership on policy matters and memoranda of understanding throughout the negotiation process.
• Work with legal counsel and internal departments to prepare for and participate in negotiations with labor groups.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial relations, collective bargaining, or HR policy analysis.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and labor law.
• Demonstrated ability to train and advise managers on employee‑relations issues.
• Excellent analytical skills for evaluating cost implications and policy outcomes.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with unions and employee representatives.
