Executive – Assurance – Financial Services – Audit – Mumbai

About the role

We are seeking an Executive to join EY’s Assurance – Financial Services (FS) Audit Services team in Mumbai. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality external audit engagements for banks, insurers and other financial institutions, helping clients meet regulatory requirements and build stakeholder confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audits with a strong understanding of financial services regulations and audit standards.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify improvement opportunities and enhance operational efficiency.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Interpret financial data and generate actionable insights for audit committees and stakeholders.
• Ensure client accounts comply with requisite audit standards and provide clear reporting.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to execute audit engagements in the financial services sector.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of financial services regulations, IFRS, US GAAP and related standards.
• Effective communication skills to present findings to audit committees.
