Equity Valuations Controller – Valuation Reporting

About the role

The Equity Valuations Controller will support the Equity Valuations team in preparing and presenting monthly valuation reports to senior leadership. This role combines analytical commentary, process integrity, and regulatory coordination to ensure accurate and transparent valuation reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly valuation reports and present findings to the global head of valuation control and product leads.
• Produce summary commentary on Independent Price Verification (IPV) results, reserve movements, and valuation issues, delivering clear messages to management.
• Maintain the IPV tool and reporting processes, ensuring completeness, consistency, and incorporating user feedback.
• Support ad‑hoc projects driven by changes in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, or internal initiatives.
• Manage projects that promote consistency of valuations across product teams and develop expertise in a newly built internal reporting tool.
• Interpret regulatory requirements for the Valuation Control Group, coordinate regulatory returns, and prepare key management information systems (MIS) for senior management.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of addressing senior audiences.
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
• Good understanding of investment‑banking products (specific product expertise not required).
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and build robust control environments for IPV and regulatory reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution; valuation experience or professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, qualified accountant) are a plus.
