Entity Accountant – Hyderabad

About the role

The EMEA and APR controlling departments are a key component of Eastman’s finance organization supporting over $5 billion of revenue, manufacturing plants and sales offices worldwide. These departments are responsible for the general ledger accounting of Eastman businesses in the EMEA and APR regions. Eastman is seeking an Entity Accountant to join the finance team in Hyderabad, India.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full sets of accounts in accordance with US GAAP and applicable local GAAP.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes, including quality reviews.
• Prepare and ensure the accuracy of statutory financial reports.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP and related international accounting standards.
• Support strategic initiatives across the organization.
• Work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
• Adhere to relevant quality, environmental, health and safety management system requirements.

Required profile

• MBA in Finance, MCom or BCom; professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA or equivalent) preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting or auditing experience, preferably within a multinational company.
• Experience with process automation and a proactive, analytical mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Power BI.
