Engineering Team Leader – Mechanical (India)

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader for the Mechanical platform at Husky Technologies in Guindy, Chennai. The role will lead a multidisciplinary mechanical design team to deliver new machine platforms and critical service solutions, ensuring innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor and cross‑train a team of junior, senior and specialist mechanical designers.
• Oversee design, development and release of new Husky machine platforms and critical service requests.
• Plan and schedule design activities to meet committed delivery dates.
• Enforce product development processes, design documentation, risk mitigation and compliance with standards.
• Drive technical discussions, design reviews and executive updates with transparent stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with supply chain, service and operations to ensure cross‑disciplinary alignment.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Strong leadership ability to motivate and develop a high‑performing team.
• System‑level thinking and sound decision‑making judgment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven leadership experience in heavy machinery or injection molding environments is an asset.
