Engineering Team Leader – ES&T

About the role

3M is seeking an Engineering Team Leader for its Engineering Systems & Technology organization in Bangalore. You will supervise a team of controls engineers supporting manufacturing operations, driving innovation and ensuring alignment with global project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering resources and support for manufacturing processes.
• Manage staffing, workload forecasting, and succession planning for the team.
• Collaborate with engineering groups to align work with project goals.
• Identify and close gaps in technical expertise.
• Supervise, coach, and develop assigned engineers, allocate work, and track performance against objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
• At least 5 years of experience designing and commissioning machine control systems.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role for control engineers.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens control systems.
• Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, drives, automation, and robotics.
