Engineering Executive

About the role

The Engineering Executive will lead the maintenance and safety operations for a Marriott property in Bengaluru. This role ensures that all equipment, tools, and systems are reliable, compliant with safety standards, and that guest repair requests are addressed promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances and equipment.
• Calibrate controls, gauges and meters; operate shut‑off valves.
• Order, label, stock parts and manage inventory and purchase order logs.
• Conduct life‑safety checks, including fire‑pump and generator run tests.
• Inspect fire‑sprinkler valves, alarm systems and other safety equipment.
• Assist in developing disaster‑response protocols and respond to guest repair requests.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating staff.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of related engineering or maintenance experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Physical ability to lift ≤ 50 lb, reach overhead, bend, twist and navigate stairs.
• Strong communication skills and professional appearance.
