Engineering Executive

About the role

The Engineering Executive will lead the maintenance and safety operations for a Marriott property in Indore. This role combines hands‑on technical work with supervisory responsibilities to ensure all equipment, systems, and guest repair requests are addressed promptly and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, meters and operate shut‑off valves.
• Manage inventory, order parts, and maintain purchase order logs.
• Conduct life‑safety checks, fire‑pump and generator run tests, and inspect fire‑sprinkler and alarm systems.
• Assist in developing disaster‑response protocols and respond to guest repair requests.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
• Follow all company safety, security and confidentiality policies.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of related engineering or facilities maintenance experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance techniques.
• Calibration of gauges and meters.
• Inventory and parts management.
• Fire‑safety testing (pump, generator, sprinkler, alarm systems).
• Operation of power lifts and related equipment.
• Use of computer systems for work‑order entry and tracking.
