Engineering Executive – Hotel Engineering

About the role

You will support the Chief Engineer / Assistant Chief Engineer in ensuring smooth operation of all engineering functions, including hotel systems, plant and equipment, team management, sub‑contractors, and maintenance of property structure and assets. By keeping the facilities safe and well‑maintained, you help create memorable experiences for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain facility safety and compliance with local, state and federal regulations for mechanical, electrical, HVAC and life‑safety systems.
• Assign, supervise and document daily maintenance tasks in the property management system.
• Train, schedule and develop the maintenance team, providing guidance to ensure high‑quality work.
• Oversee external contractors, inspect their work for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Respond promptly to service requests, guest concerns and emergency situations.
• Repair and maintain all hotel equipment, monitor deficiencies and manage stock control.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality, integrity and strong leadership orientation.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Service Technician or similar role in a 5‑star hotel.
• Trade‑qualified in HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing/Gas (advantageous).
• Solid general engineering knowledge and hands‑on trade background.
