Engineering Change (EC) Engineer - Mechanical

About the role

The Engineering Change (EC) Engineer will manage the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process for assigned product families, ensuring rapid and cost‑effective implementation of changes. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and the Change Implementation Board to drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize, review, and expedite ECOs, ensuring completeness of content, BOM structure, and impact analysis.
• Coordinate ECO routing, involve appropriate CIB members, and communicate issues to EC analysts and engineers.
• Analyze part structures, conduct where‑used searches, and assess product/process impact.
• Train and coach ECO participants, mediate conflicts, and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in ECO project meetings and lead ECO CIB projects when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Automobile engineering.
• 3 to 8 years of experience in engineering change management, packaging solutions, or related manufacturing fields.
• Strong knowledge of ECO processes, PDM/BOM concepts, supplier manufacturing, lean principles, and cleanroom safety.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GD&T and UG NX.
• Experience with Oracle, SAP, and PLM tools such as Teamcenter Engineering and Windchill.
• Strong BOM management, reverse engineering, and drawing review capabilities.
• Advanced computer skills: MS Office, Lotus Notes, Visio.
