Engineer, Finance Systems

About the role

Monotype is looking for an Application Engineer to join its Finance team in Noida. You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing Finance business systems, automating workflows, and enabling smarter decision‑making through technology and data.

Key responsibilities

• Own reliability, performance and scalability of Finance systems built on Microsoft SQL Server and .NET.
• Design, develop and optimise backend services, APIs and ETL pipelines using C# (.NET 6+), T‑SQL and tools such as SSIS or Azure Data Factory.
• Model data and create performant database objects (tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, functions) to support reporting and month‑end close.
• Build and maintain integrations with ERP, billing and data‑warehouse systems via REST/GraphQL, webhooks, file‑based or queue‑based mechanisms.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and version‑control practices using GitHub Actions, including automated testing and deployments.
• Partner with Finance stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs that improve accuracy, timeliness and control.
• Develop AI‑driven automation, integrating Azure Cognitive Services or OpenAI APIs for document processing, anomaly detection and workflow automation.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of production software development with C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core, Workers, Functions).
• Advanced SQL Server skills: data modelling, T‑SQL, indexing, query tuning and performance troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on ETL experience (SSIS, Azure Data Factory or similar) and strong data‑quality awareness.
• Experience building secure RESTful APIs and familiarity with OAuth/OpenID Connect.
