Engineer – FA Testing & Inspection Maintenance

About the role

The role is based at Bosch Automotive Electronics India’s Naganathapura plant and focuses on ensuring the reliability and availability of test equipment used in automotive electronic product manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with manufacturing processes, legal, safety, customer and Bosch standards.
• Maintain uptime of testing equipment such as Functional Testers, Flash Testers, In‑Circuit Testers and Intermediate Test stations.
• Identify and investigate part failures, tester card issues, contact pin problems and wire‑harness defects.
• Prepare Initial Analysis Reports for breakdowns and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage spare parts inventory, including obsolete parts, and support tooling management.
• Participate in design reviews, providing input on testability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve open issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Drive systematic problem‑solving techniques, support change management, and coordinate with process owners for improvement activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechatronics or Electronics.
• 2–4 years of experience in testing equipment maintenance within electronic manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience with functional, flash, in‑circuit and intermediate test stations.
• Ability to conduct root‑cause analysis and prepare detailed reports.
• Familiarity with spare‑parts management and tooling.
• Strong knowledge of safety and 5S practices and ability to work in a cross‑functional environment.
