Engineer 2 – Python Development Engineer

About the role

Comcast is looking for an Engineer 2 to design, develop, test and maintain Python‑based applications, automation solutions and AI‑enabled capabilities that improve business processes and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain Python applications, backend services and automation scripts.
• Create and support integrations between enterprise applications, APIs, databases and internal systems.
• Implement REST API integrations, data exchange processes and logging/monitoring/alerting mechanisms.
• Support containerized workloads and perform basic Kubernetes tasks such as reviewing deployments and troubleshooting pods.
• Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues and integration failures, providing effective resolutions.
• Contribute to AI‑enabled solutions by integrating large language model (LLM) APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, deployment activities, change management and maintain technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–5 years of experience developing Python applications and working with APIs.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders and senior engineers.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• REST API development and integration.
• Containerization and basic Kubernetes operations.
• Logging, monitoring and alerting implementation.
• Experience with AI/LLM API integration.
