Emergency Medicine Physician

About the role

Medicover Hospitals in Hyderabad is seeking a full‑time Emergency Medicine Physician to provide immediate assessment, stabilization and treatment for patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in the emergency department.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clinical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate evidence‑based interventions.
• Triage patients, manage urgent and life‑threatening conditions, and coordinate care with critical care, surgical and other specialty teams.
• Supervise junior clinical staff, document care according to hospital protocols, and contribute to quality‑improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Participate in on‑call coverage and maintain clear communication with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Valid medical license/registration as required by local regulations and strong foundation in Emergency Medicine.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing trauma, cardiac emergencies and other acute conditions, with experience in urgent‑care settings.
• Competence in Critical Care Medicine, including stabilization of critically ill patients and coordination with intensive care units.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Emergency Medicine or a related specialty is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments while maintaining patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
