Emergency Medicine Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant to join the Emergency Department of Kiran Hospital. The role involves delivering high‑quality emergency care in a 13‑bedded unit that operates 24/7 with full ICU support.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, stabilize and manage acute patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Utilise advanced emergency equipment including defibrillators, multipara monitors, ventilators, portable X‑ray, sonography and 2D‑Echo machines.
• Coordinate patient transfer to ICU, ICCU, SICU, PICU, NICU or operation theatres as required.
• Participate in pre‑hospital care using ICU‑on‑wheels ambulances and support future helipad operations.
• Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to departmental quality improvement.

Required profile

• MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine or MRCEM qualification.
• 1‑3 years of relevant clinical experience; fresh graduates are also welcome.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary hospital environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with defibrillator operation.
• Use of multipara patient monitors.
• Ventilator management.
• Portable X‑ray imaging.
• Sonography (ultrasound) techniques.
• 2D‑Echo machine operation.
