Embedded Software Architect – Control (ECT)

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded Software Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high‑quality embedded software for connected products. The role will shape the end‑to‑end architecture across drivers, middleware and application layers, ensuring performance, safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business and system requirements into a robust technical architecture.
• Define end‑to‑end embedded software architecture, including drivers, middleware and application layers.
• Design scalable solutions across MCU/SoC platforms, RTOS and hardware abstraction layers.
• Specify communication interfaces and integration strategies for subsystems.
• Architect systems for high performance, low latency and efficient resource usage.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and quality standards.
• Integrate connectivity modules such as RF and Wi‑Fi into embedded platforms.
• Assess emerging technologies (AI/ML, GenAI, data platforms) to improve platform engineering and automation.
• Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews and proof‑of‑concept initiatives.
• Evaluate new tools, frameworks and connectivity solutions.
• Establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems.
• Mentor development teams on architecture best practices and provide support for complex debugging.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in Embedded C/C++ development.
• Proven experience in embedded software architecture and system design.
• Hands‑on experience with RTOS, device drivers, BSP and low‑level system development.
• Ability to balance performance, memory, power and cost trade‑offs.
• Knowledge of secure boot, OTA updates and cybersecurity concepts.
• Strong analytical thinking and system‑level problem‑solving capability.
• Effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
