Embedded IoT Architect (ECT)

About the role

We are looking for an innovative and highly experienced IoT Architect to lead the definition and development of scalable, secure, and robust end‑to‑end IoT solutions at Bosch Global Software Technologies. The role bridges embedded systems, connectivity, and cloud platforms to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance across the IoT ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business and system requirements into a comprehensive technical architecture.
• Define end‑to‑end IoT architecture covering device hardware/firmware, connectivity layers, cloud services, data pipelines, and user interfaces.
• Design communication interfaces and integration strategies across subsystems.
• Architect solutions for high performance, low latency, and efficient resource usage while meeting safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Implement robust integration patterns between devices and cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, Google Cloud IoT Core), including provisioning, authentication, and data ingestion.
• Assess emerging technologies such as AI/ML, Generative AI, and data platforms to improve embedded engineering and automation.
• Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and proof‑of‑concept initiatives.
• Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and connectivity solutions.
• Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems.
• Mentor development teams and support complex system‑level debugging.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and implementing end‑to‑end IoT architectures spanning embedded devices, connectivity, and cloud layers.
• Hands‑on experience with major cloud IoT platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, Google Cloud IoT Core).
• Strong understanding of wireless connectivity technologies and trade‑offs between performance, memory, power, and cost.
• Excellent analytical and system‑level problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication, technical mentoring, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
