ELV Drafting Engineer

About the role

The ELV Drafting Engineer supports the design and engineering team by producing accurate CAD drawings for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems. You will work on CCTV, access control, structured cabling, public address, IPTV and related layouts, ensuring they meet design intent and project standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ELV drawings using AutoCAD (and Revit when required) for CCTV, access control, structured cabling, PA, IPTV and containment plans.
• Draft single‑line diagrams, schematics and typical details as directed by ELV engineers.
• Update drawings based on design comments, RFIs and site conditions while maintaining revision control.
• Coordinate ELV layouts with architectural, structural and MEP drawings to avoid clashes.
• Assist in creating shop drawings, as‑built drawings and support site teams with up‑to‑date documentation.
• Participate in basic site visits for red‑line updates when needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering or Drafting.
• 1–2 years of experience in ELV drafting or related electrical drafting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Basic knowledge of ELV systems, symbols and drawing standards.
• Familiarity with layers, scales and revision control.
• Revit knowledge is an advantage but not required.
