Electrical Technician – Industrial Maintenance

About the role

The Electrical Technician will ensure uninterrupted plant operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing electrical systems across the distillery, bottling line, utilities, and warehouse. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards and collaboration with production and maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on motors, pumps, MCC/PCC panels, VFDs, transformers, switchgear, and control panels.
• Attend electrical breakdowns and restore equipment promptly.
• Install and commission electrical equipment, cabling, lighting, and control systems.
• Inspect systems regularly, identify potential faults, and maintain DG sets, UPS, compressors, and utility electrical networks.
• Read and interpret single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and electrical drawings.
• Ensure proper earthing, cable management, and electrical housekeeping.
• Maintain logbooks, maintenance records, and checklists.
• Coordinate shutdowns and maintenance activities with production teams.
• Follow LOTO, PTW procedures and statutory electrical safety regulations.
• Support energy‑conservation initiatives and monitor power consumption.

Required profile

• ITI Electrician (mandatory) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• 3–6 years of experience (ITI) or 2–5 years (diploma) in industrial electrical maintenance within distilleries, breweries, chemical, FMCG, or similar process industries.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, teamwork, good communication, and willingness to work shifts and respond to emergencies.
